Dear JSTM Members
I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere wishes for the continued good health of our members.
The Student Section of the Japan Society of Tropical Medicine (J-Trops) was established in August 2020 with the aim of supporting the learning of students who aspire to study tropical medicine and to develop human resources who will lead this field in the future.
Currently, there are more than 80 members from universities around Japan (as of May 2025), who are engaged in activities to deepen their knowledge of tropical medicine and broaden their perspectives through study groups and presentations at academic conferences.
However, since members are dispersed throughout Japan, opportunities for face-to-face interaction are limited.
For this reason, the Society plans and supports “summer camps” as a place where students can stimulate each other and grow through in-depth discussions and exchanges.
Thirteen students from all over Japan are scheduled to participate in this year’s summer camp. This camp is a valuable opportunity for them to enrich their knowledge and experience, and to build future cooperative relationships and networks. We hope to nurture these young buds and help them grow even more.
Therefore, in order to reduce the financial burden on the students and to make the camp as fulfilling as possible, we sincerely ask all members to make a donation.
Please refer to the prospectus, sponsorship application form, sponsorship application form, and summer camp outline to understand the purpose of the summer camp and to give us your warm support.
