After confirming the membership application and payment of the annual membership fee, the admission procedure will be completed.
Student members (undergraduate and graduate students) are required to submit a letter of introduction from a councilor and a certificate of enrollment in addition to the application form. A copy of a student ID card or other proof of enrollment may be substituted for the certificate of enrollment.
Postdoctoral members are those who have been employed in a fixed-term position or in an equivalent position within five years of receiving their degree, and a “letter of introduction” from a council member is required for the admission process, in addition to the application form.
In addition to the application for membership, a letter of introduction and a certificate of employment from a councilor are required for the admission process for overseas members. There is no particular format for the letter of introduction. A short letter of introduction is fine. A letter of introduction from an academic advisor is also acceptable.
